The Fab Faux have been quite busy this 2010 with live performances and the launch of their new and interactive website.

The website’s new design molds classic Beatles images with the backdrop of the band’s native city, NYC. Navigation through the page is guided by, you guessed it… a yellow submarine! I think the website embodies above and beyond effort The Fab Faux brings to a tribute band. Call them a tribute band is falling short of what they actually do.

The Fab Faux is made up of “five of the hardest working musicians in NYC, [who] completely up-end the concept of a Beatles tribute band. Far beyond being extended sets of cover versions, their astounding shows are an inspired re-discovery of the Beatles’ musical magic… that has to be experienced to be believed.”Currently the boys were named #18 on Rolling Stone’s 40 Reasons To Get Excited About Music list in this past month’s issue. David Fricke, senior editor for the magazine states, “The Faux invigorate the artistry of even the Beatles’ most intricate studio masterpieces with top chops and Beatlemaniac glee.”

This summer they have slotted performances scheduled from May-October. Saturday September 25th, The Fab Faux will be hosting a very special performance, A Night In The Life: A John Lennon 70th Birthday Celebration at Radio City Music Hall, NYC. This is one show not to miss! The Fab Faux tickets are on sale now! Get yours before it’s too late!

Keep checking back for more Fab Faux news.

The Fab Faux is known as one of the most popular Beatles tribute bands. The band was founded in 1998 by Will Lee, a bassist for the “Late Show with David Letterman” and includes Jimmy Vino, a guitarist for “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.” Other members (not associated with any sort of late or late, late show) include Rich Pagano, Frank Agnello and Jack Petruzzelli.

The band is unusual because they don’t just strive to recreate shows the Beatles have already done. They are committed to performing what they believe is an accurate reproduction of what the Beatles would have done, as well as performing music the Beatles never performed live.

The Fab Faux currently have show dates in Illinois (November), New York (December), and Florida (July 2010). Don’t miss out!
